The base sits in Songtan, Pyeongtaek, and so do we. From the Sinjang-dong shopping street to the villa blocks of Jisan and the new towers at Jije station — this is home turf, minutes from our daily routes.
Fun fact that surprises newcomers: Osan Air Base is not in Osan — it sits in Songtan, on the Pyeongtaek side. Sinjang-dong, right at the main gate, is the classic base town: the shopping street, restaurants and pubs at street level, and villas and rental rooms above and behind them.
Older mixed-use buildings plus heavy restaurant grease is a tough combination for pipes. Kitchen lines and shared stacks here clog on a schedule, and sewer smell complaints are common. If your place sits over or behind a restaurant, tell us — it changes where we look first.
Seojeong-dong around Seojeong-ri station is the residential heart of the Songtan side — a mix of apartment complexes and villa blocks, from decades-old to newly built. The usual pattern applies: older buildings fight grease and corroded stacks, newer ones fight wipes and construction debris.
In apartment buildings we always establish first whether the problem is inside your unit or in the shared riser — that decides whether you or the management office pays. We document what we find so the conversation is short.
The quieter villa neighborhoods north and east of the station — Jisan-dong, Songbuk-dong — offer more space for the money, in buildings that have seen a few decades. Their cast-iron stacks and grease-narrowed kitchen lines need a gentler touch: too much force damages an old pipe instead of clearing it.
For a line that clogs every few months, punching through again is not a plan. A camera look tells us whether jetting will actually restore the pipe — and we show you the screen, not just the invoice.
Some families live in Osan city proper (across the boundary, 10 minutes north) or in the new high-rises around Jije station on the SRT line. Both are inside our normal routes — Osan is one straight road from Songtan, and Jije is where new complexes popular with commuters keep rising.
New-build issues dominate at Jije: low-flow toilets versus wipes, debris in young lines, and warranty questions a pipe-camera recording can settle.
Living above the nightlife?
Rooms over the Sinjang-dong strip are cheap and close — and share plumbing with commercial kitchens below. If your drain smells or backs up on weekends, that pattern itself is a clue.
